MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, WA – Layne Sapp, founder and CEO of MILA, Inc., the e-commerce mortgage provider also doing business as Mortgage Investment Lending Associates, was named regional winner in the service category by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 Awards in the Pacific Northwest on June 23.

Sapp and six other Pacific Northwest regional winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 national program to be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs California in November. Award winners are selected by a panel of independent judges comprising area leaders from business, academic, and civic organizations. As the first award of its kind, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses.
