MILA, INC. AND LYNNWOOD MAYOR MIKE MCKINNON’S MOTORCYCLE RIDE RAISE NEARLY $4,000 FOR CHILD SAFETY PROGRAMS

Lynnwood, WA – MILA, Inc., the wholesale non-prime lender also doing business as Mortgage Investment Lending Associates today donated nearly $2,000 to Lynnwood Mayor Mike McKinnon’s Kidz Safety Campaign. This local event was held on August 14, 2004 and raised nearly $4,000 for child safety programs; due in part to MILA’s match of all rider entry fees.

Mayor Mike McKinnon led more than 100 riders on the scenic ride from Lynnwood to La Conner. All proceeds raised from the ride benefit the local Snohomish County American Red Cross’ children’s programs, emergency situations and home fire education. The remaining fifty percent will be used to purchase car seats for needy families.

“MILA is proud to help Mayor Mike McKinnon in his efforts to provide educational safety programs for our youth," said Layne Sapp, MILA CEO.

MILA will continue to support local children’s charitable drives and organizations. To date, MILA has sponsored

organizations including Children’s Hospital and the Snohomish County Boys & Girls Club and donated more than $150,000 in 2004 alone.

"We are very grateful to MILA for its support of this program," said Mike McKinnon, Lynnwood Mayor.
