MILA, INC., APPOINTS DOUGLAS E. SCHWED AS GENERAL COUNSEL

Mountlake Terrace, WA – MILA, Inc., the wholesale mortgage banking company, announced today the appointment of Douglas Schwed as its general counsel.

In that capacity, Schwed will provide legal advice and assistance to MILA in all facets of MILA’s business including product development, technology, marketing, compliance and communications. He will also help guide MILA through its continued future expansion throughout the United States.

“Douglas brings a new level of executive acumen to our business,” said Layne Sapp, CEO of MILA. “His exceptional legal knowledge of the real estate and mortgage industries is critical in helping MILA grow.”

With more than 20 years experience of industry related experience as a lawyer, Schwed has proven experience in a variety of complex residential/commercial real estate and lending issues and transactions. Schwed earned a Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.

Schwed is based out of MILA’s headquarters located at 6021 244th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA.
