MOUNTLAKE TERRACE , Wash. - January 5, 2007 - In a year that has brought many challenges to marketing and sales departments throughout the mortgage industry, MILA is excited to announced today that its 2006 Sales and Marketing strategies have been recognized nationally by top watchdogs of both practices.
The 2006 American Business Association's Stevie Awards named MILA the winner of its Financial Services Sales Organization of the Year. MILA was also named a f inalist for both Sales Process of the Year and its Director of Sales Production, Joe Dahleen, was a finalist for Sales Director of the Year. The MarCom Creative Awards also gave a nod to MILA with a Platinum Award for its PR program and two Gold Awards for both its internal newsletter and its revamped website, www.mila.com.
"It's a great honor to be recognized by such powerhouses of our disciplines," explained Tina Gonsalves, MILA's Director of Marketing. "Our sales and marketing teams work hard throughout the year to ensure our sales strategy and marketing messages get properly communicated to our audiences. It's wonderful to now be able to lift our heads from all this hard work to see that the leaders of our respected practices recognize the successes we've achieved."
The Stevie Award, known as the Oscar of the Sales Industry, was awarded to MILA at the Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards in Las Vegas on December 4. Joe Dahleen, MILA's Director of Sales Production, picked up the award on behalf of the company where he was impressed by the prestigious audience.
"It's such a thrill to be in the same room with the best of the best in sales and to then be recognized in front of that elite crowd for the work we've put into our strategic sales approach," Dahleen explained. "It underscores the importance of MILA's belief that the most successful sales campaigns are those that are grounded by solid thinking and a real commitment to service."
The MarCom Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals.
The Association awards MarCom statues to marketing and communications programs that achieve measurable and meaningful results. From thousands of entries, MILA was named a winner among such diverse household name companies as Comcast, Adobe Systems and Lockheed Martin. Winners were announced at the end of November.
